The FE 50 mm f/1.8 from Sony is a versatile lens with a normal focal length designed for mirrorless full-frame cameras with E connection. Thanks to its sleek design, it is perfect for everyday shots, while the fast maximum aperture of f/1.8 facilitates work in low lighting conditions and allows better control over the depth of selective focus images. The optical design includes an aspherical element for controlling spherical aberrations. It uses a double-Gauss construction to achieve sharper, clearer image quality over the entire aperture area with reduced image field curvature. A DC motor drive system also ensures fast and precise autofocus performance, which is also quiet enough for video recording. In addition, there is a rounded 7-lamella membrane, which highlights the blurred area and gives a smooth, circular appearance.
